  • The Whys and Wherefores of Cat Color Changes
It’s a day like any other day, except that your once cream-colored cat has taken on a brownish tone. Don’t panic, just yet.   Skin and hair color is determined by melanocyte cells in the skin and hair follicles. Those cells produce melanin which in turn produces the color. Purebred Or Mixed?

Purebred Or Mixed?

My human mom used to only want a purebred dog. that means a dog with a mommy and daddy who come from the same breed. She was clueless about those of us who come from a mixture of dogs. She didn’t know how smart, friendly, and sweet we are.

The proof came when she met me and fell in love. I taught her that it’s about the dog, not the purebreed. Now she loves mixed breeds as well as purebreds. We even have a new little sister who is a Chi-Peek-a-Boo or something like that. Who knows? Who cares? Whatever!

Does it matter to you if your dog is purebred or mixed?
